Today’s #woofwednesday features my second favourite photo of Jasper and I (or perhaps it’s just tied for 1st place because I do really love it).

Look at that magical date! It’s 09/09/09 today! And a #woofwednesday? And the series premier of Glee? Well! What a world!

…Sorry, you’ll have to excuse me. I’m a bit under the weather right now and cold medicine does fabulous things to me…

Today’s #woofwednesday is a bit different because it doesn’t have anything to do with Jasper. It IS however, very exciting news and a happy update to share.

This past Monday, September 7th, 2009, Gabi gave birth to 6 adorable squeeky babies! She was a week earlier than expected but we still ended up with 4 girls and 2 boys with very little complication. Gabi is doing great and makes an excellent mom

So, to celebrate, I just wanted to take a moment to share the love with you all!

Aww! We are so excited, not just because this is Gabi’s first litter but also because it’s our first litter of Shiloh’s ever and we’re very proud!

In blog related news – Because of what is going to be an incredibly busy upcoming month, there are going to be changes to this blog. Ironically, I plan on posting more often (I have a PLAN), mostly for the sake of my sanity. Also ironic however, is the fact that during this time period, these posts aren’t going to be about “just Jasper”. See, I live in Toronto and, for the time being, am only able to see Jasper on weekends when I rush back to the family farm after work on Fridays. Obviously this isn’t an ideal situation where Jasper and I are concerned but I do my best to make it work until I find myself in a more dog-friendly living situation.

Unfortunately, due to some big events that I’m working on, I won’t be able to get back home until Thanksgiving weekend. J and I spent a lot of time together last weekend but it’s still sad

So, what does this mean for the blog? Simply, a lot of drawing on older stories and having more to say about dogs in general. It makes me laugh, especially when I consider the name of this blog. Still, it all comes back to Jasper in the end. Either it’ll be a post about him, a post about something that reminds me of him, or a post simply inspired by him. At the end of the day, it all really is “Just Jasper”

There’s a meme on Twitter called #woofwednesday. There are a few ways I’ve seen people use it, but for the most part it seems to be an excuse to share pictures of cute dogs.

Cute dogs like JASPER.

Because one medium simply isn’t enough, I’ve decided to start posting my #woofwednesday offerings here as well. Every Wednesday there will be a single shot of J-dawg just doin’ what he does.

Which is being cute, obviously.
